Slow design is a branch of the Slow Movement and adapts many of the movement’s key concepts. In this branch it looks at sustainability and approaching design problems with long term solutions that consider environmental needs and social factors. Slow design isn’t just limited to physical products, but also services, concepts, experiences and organizations.
SlowLab.net is a design research project that collaborates with worldwide designers in instilling the slow design movement’s beliefs. This PDF highlights various ‘Slow Design Principles,’ and includes case studies showing how application of these principles affect a workshop setting.
